Positive Reflections has had great success in helping people recover from Anorexia, Bulimia, Compulsive Overeating, and various Self-Injury problems. Our program began similarly as other programs in the country, except that we work individually and very intensely. Over time, we discovered the coaching model to be far more effective than typical treatment plans. We made the decision to change Positive Reflections completely into a Recovery Coaching program.

Coaching is a goal-oriented focus toward recovery. Instead of working on childhood traumas and intense feelings, the focus is on current stress and the self-harming behaviors that are being used to cope. Goals are set and a plan of action is designed to reach the goals. The coaches provide advice, guidance, encouragement, and accountability. A strong bond is created between the coaches and clients. Best of all, much of the recovery work is accomplished over the phone and online.
